Microsoft Licenses

Microsoft provides a range of volume agreements designed to meet the needs of different businesses. The best solution should be simple, flexible and affordable, tailored to the size and purchasing preference of your business.

For customers with 5 or more employees

Open License

The Open License is designed for companies that have as few as five desktop PCs. It provides a simple, flexible, and cost-effective way to acquire the latest Microsoft technology to meet your needs and procurement procedures.

Select License

The Select License is designed for corporate, government, and academic organisations that have 250 or more desktop PCs and mixed product and purchasing requirements. You receive a volume price level for each pool of products selected (applications, systems, and servers) based on a three-year software forecast.

Enterprise Agreement

The Enterprise Agreement programme is designed for businesses that have 250 or more desktop PCs. This agreement enables you to improve workplace productivity by standardising Microsoft software for all desktops across your enterprise at discounted prices, based on a three-year agreement term.

Enterprise Subscription Agreement

The Enterprise Subscription Agreement is designed for corporations that have 250 or more desktop PCs. Your company can subscribe to—rather than purchase—Microsoft software licenses; with significant discounts off full retail prices, lower annual payments, and pricing flexibility.

Software Assurance

Microsoft Software Assurance is a comprehensive maintenance offering that helps you get the most out of your software investment. It combines the latest software with phone support available 24 hours a day, training, and IT tools that help you deploy, manage, and migrate software.

For customers with less than 5 employees

Full Packaged Product Licensing (FPP)

Full Packaged Product refers to a retail boxed products that generally include a single license, media and limited documentation. FPP is most suited to small business bellow 5 PCs.

Customers who require five or more licences would benefit from a Volume Licensing programme which provides volume discount pricing and supplementary benefits that are not offered with FPP licences.

For customers looking to upgrade their hardware

OEM Licensing

OEM licensing refers to the procurement of software preinstalled on new hardware. Microsoft provides OEM licensing for its operating systems, servers and applications.

This can be the most cost-effective way to procure software, however, OEM licensing is tied to the hardware it comes preinstalled on and may have licensing restrictions.
